Spar Scotland is launching Gen!us Craft Lager across all its stores in Scotland from this month.
Gen!us, the UK’s first light craft lager, was launched in 2018 with a mission to make healthier drinking a pleasure, not a compromise. Brewed with the finest pilsner malts and three hop varieties, Gen!us is 3% ABV and 79kcal per can – less than an apple. It is vegan too!
Colin McLean, CEO at Spar Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to be launching Gen!us in 88 of our Spar stores and it is also available for our independent stores to purchase. As we approach the summer months, this product is going to really appeal to consumers as they look to kick-start their healthier lifestyles.”
The launch will be supported by a host of online activity via social media and websites and in-store point of sale. Gen!us Brewing is an Official Fundraising Partner of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation donating 5p from every can of Gen!us. To support this and promote the launch there will be a competition for consumers on the Spar Scotland Facebook page on 22 May to win a signed Doddie prize.
