The shortlist for the 2024 Scottish Gin Awards has been announced, covering a broad spectrum of gin makers from artisanal small-batch producers to well-established brands.
The winners will be decided by a panel of around 30 industry experts under strict conditions on a single day, selecting the best gins across 11 distinct style categories. These include London Dry, Distilled, and Flavoured Gins.
A further five awards will be made to recognise the business side of the Scottish gin industry. These are Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year, Best New Product of the Year, Gin Tourist Destination of the Year, Excellence in Packaging, and Excellence in Branding.
A number of SRFDA winners have enjoyed prior success at the event, including North Uist Distillery, which has made the shortlist and is now in the running to win the Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year title for the third year in a row.
The awards ceremony is set to take place on Wednesday 30 October, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
Now in its eighth year, the Scottish Gin Awards has grown to become one of the UK’s largest gin competitions.
