Six Scottish food and drink suppliers have been named winners of the Scotmid Scottish Favourites competition, securing the opportunity to showcase their products on the convenience retailer’s shelves.
The Scottish Favourites competition, launched during Scotland Food & Drink’s first Scottish Food and Drink September, aims to support the growth of local producers and give customers access to some of the finest regional products.
The competition, run in partnership with Scotland Food & Drink, attracted 32 entries from across the country.
The successful suppliers and their winning products are:
- Three Robins: Oat Milk/Chocolate Oat Drink/Smoothie Pouches
- Golden Casket: Millions American Sour Squishies
- Equis: Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
- Young Spirit: Blue Raspberry/Watermelon Vodka Shots
- Burnside Brewery: Right To Roam IPA/Wayfinder Lager (Alcohol Free)
- Fierce Beer: Iron Brew Beer Cooler
Each winning supplier will receive an ongoing listing in Scotmid stores. The first listing will feature Burnside Brewery’s alcohol-free premium drinks, launching on 28 December 2024.
This will be followed by:
- 15 January – Golden Casket;
- 29 January – Fierce Beer;
- 26 February – Three Robins;
- 3 March – Equis;
- TBC – Young Spirit.
