Scotland Food & Drink has unveiled a refreshed membership model, complete with new tailored benefits for businesses of all sizes.
The enhanced programme aims to foster sustainable growth, increase collaboration, and strengthen Scotland’s reputation as the best food and drink producer.
Bringing together businesses, government, and key partners for more than 15 years, Scotland Food & Drink’s strengthened membership offering aligns with the ambitions set out in the 10-year national food and drink strategy, Sustaining Scotland. Supplying the World, to build a more resilient, responsible, and sustainable sector.
The refreshed membership model includes six tiers for food and drink producers, from start-ups to businesses with turnover exceeding £15m. For the first time, there will also be a membership package specifically designed for hospitality businesses. With a refreshed range of benefits, including a dedicated online member portal, and invitations to high-profile networking events, the core membership programme has been designed to help businesses forge stronger connections and drive long-term success.
Affiliate membership has also been considered as part of the renewed approach, with affiliate members now accessing an even wider range of exclusive benefits, including invitations to national engagement events, support from a dedicated business development manager, and opportunities to connect with producer members.
Iain Baxter, CEO of Scotland Food & Drink, said: “At Scotland Food & Drink, we bring together businesses of all sizes and stages – from producers and suppliers to retailers, foodservice companies and industry leaders – to drive sustainable growth and increase market opportunities, while strengthening Scotland’s global reputation.
“Our refreshed membership model reflects the breadth of businesses that make up our sector and offers tailored benefits to help businesses to grow and thrive.”
Tracy Cameron, Head of Membership & Commercial at Scotland Food & Drink, added: “Our members represent the vibrant, innovative and passionate businesses that make Scotland’s food and drink industry so unique – and with our refreshed membership offering, we will be there for businesses at every stage of their journey, offering tailored support, expert guidance and opportunities to reach new customers and markets.
“Scotland is filled with world-class producers, makers, brands and artisans, and we have worked closely with our existing members to better understand changes and challenges within the sector, so we can offer more benefits that will help businesses stay ahead. It’s an exciting time for Scotland Food & Drink, and we can’t wait to welcome more members to our growing community.”
