Port Askaig has launched three, new limited editions to complement the Islay whisky maker’s permanent Port Askaig 8-Year-Old.

Selected by master blender Oliver Chilton, the three expressions are:

  • Port Askaig Cask Strength #02-2024 (59.1% ABV): The second iteration of its Cask Strength expression and a new batch made from no more than 60 casks. Each batch shows the cask breakdown to enable drinkers to contrast, compare and explore each bottling. Port Askaig Cask Strength #02-2024 introduces flavours of espresso coffee, light liquorice, dark chocolate, lemon, and cacao nibs. Islay peat evolves into hints of cherry and dried raspberry.
  • Port Askaig 15-Year-Old (50.5% ABV): The latest age statement release brings together just 30 casks from a distillery on Islay’s north coast. Aged in traditional refill hogsheads, the spirit has been allowed to slowly develop, resulting in an elegant and characterful whisky.
  • Port Askaig 25-Year-Old (45.8% ABV): This whisky is bottled from a selection of casks chosen for their tropical fruit, citrus, and full-bodied character. Extended aging has developed floral notes with hints of leather and spice, which complement its prominent peaty flavour.

Every expression in the Port Askaig core range is non-chill filtered and free from added colouring.

Port Askaig 15-Year-Old (RSP £112), Port Askaig 25-Year-Old (RSP £325) and Port Askaig Cask Strength Batch 2 (RSP £65.72) will be available globally from select retailers from April onwards.
