More than 50 of Scotland’s food and drink manufacturers will showcase their products at next week’s Larder of the Lowlands industry event.
The event follows an inaugural launch last year and takes place at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries on 22 April.
Producers from Lanarkshire, East Lothian, Ayrshire & Arran, Dumfries & Galloway and the Scottish Borders will be there, offering everything from honey, beer, chocolate, cheese and meat of all varieties through to fish, gin, pickles and more. The list of exhibitors includes SRFDA winners Belhaven Smokehouse, Blackthorn Salt, and By Julia.
Buyers from retail, wholesale, food service, and tourism sectors and everyone in between from across Scotland and the North of England are invited to attend, and admission is free. As well as a ‘meet the supplier’ marketplace, there will be a programme of activity including industry information stands.
Larder of the Lowlands is sponsored by South of Scotland Destination Alliance, Thomsons Food Services and Lochlea Distillery and is supported by Scotland Food and Drink.
Fiona Richmond, head of regional food at Scotland Food and Drink, commented: “The Lowlands is home to some of the best quality produce on the market and we are proud to support another event that will celebrate the finest suppliers and manufacturers in the region and deliver crucial opportunities for growth.
“I am constantly inspired by the individuals across Scotland that give their time to champion our sector and this event is another testament to the passion, creativity and dedication of the producers, regional food groups and ambassadors that have worked hard to elevate the standards of excellence in our industry.”
