Eden Mill has teamed up with fellow Fife-based business, East Neuk Salt Company, to launch a new sugar syrup aimed at cocktail aficionados.
As the name suggests, Smoked Salt Sugar Syrup combines elements of sweet, salt and smoke to add a bold twist to drinks.
It is produced by smoking East Neuk’s sea salt with cask staves from Eden Mill’s single malt whisky to yield a complex sugar syrup that adds a light smoky element to cocktails balanced by salt and sweetness.
Commenting on the partnership, Hannah Ingram, head of marketing at Eden Mill, said: “Fife is our home, and an integral part of our brand. It has such a rich larder, and we want to celebrate this whenever we can – from sea salt to barley and botanicals.
“Our team was inspired by what East Neuk Salt Co are doing and we jumped at the chance to partner with them. The syrup is simply delicious – perfect in an Old Fashioned.”
For a limited time, each purchase of The Guard Bridge Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from Eden Mill’s website will come with a free bottle of the Smoked Salt Sugar Syrup.
Eden Mill’s soon-to-be-completed distillery, located seven minutes outside St Andrews, will open its doors to tourists from spring 2025.
