Spar Scotland has celebrated the return of its national brand campaign, Big Deals of Christmas, with a party at its Greenock store.
This year’s festive promotional offers are backed by a raft of marketing activities to bring the deals to life, including TV advertising on STV, in-store POS displays, digital screen promotion, social media support, and an email collaboration with the Scottish FA. What’s more, a specially wrapped Spar lorry is travelling all over Scotland to promote the campaign.
To support the launch, Spar Greenock hosted a special Christmas party for the local community to enjoy, with face painting, giveaways, product sampling and the chance to win a CJ’s breakfast or hot drink. The store gave away £5 vouchers to the first 25 shoppers who came to the party and will match the value of the voucher redemptions before the end of the year in a donation to Spar’s national charity partner, Marie Curie.
There was also a chance to win more prizes by playing Spar Scotland’s spinning wheel, sample food from local baker Aulds and Spar’s own food-to-go brand CJ’s. Rollover and Barista Bar were among the Spar Scotland suppliers who provided goodies for shoppers to enjoy, and there was a special guest appearance from Santa himself.
Two local charities received an early Christmas present, with a £500 presentation made to Ardgowan Hospice and animal rescue centre Underheugh Ark, organisations close to the hearts of the team at Spar Greenock.
