Scotland’s oldest working brewery, Belhaven, has won three medals at the Monde Selection 2023.
Both Belhaven Scottish Oat Stout and Belhaven Wee Heavy struck gold, while Belhaven Scottish Ale picked up a silver.
This is the second year in a row that Oat Stout has won a gold medal in the Monde Selection. It was also named the ‘World’s Best Oat Stout’ at the World Beer Awards last year.
Belhaven was also celebrating the news that its Visitor Experience, which opened to the public in 2021, has been given 4 Star Quality Assurance status by VisitScotland.
Fiona Matheson, Belhaven Brand Manager, said: ‘We are bursting with pride to have received such good news about our beers and our brewery visitor experience this month.
“So much hard work goes on behind the scenes and both accolades are a tribute to our teams and the dedication and passion they bring to everything that we do here in our Dunbar home.
“As the summer months approach, we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to the brewery to enjoy the experience we have on offer along with a taste of some of our internationally winning beers.”
