Stirling Distillery, which already produces a range of craft gins and single malts, has added another string to its bow with the launch of Stirling Spiced Rum.
The new spirit pays homage to Stirling’s heritage as the gateway to the Highlands and its rich tapestry of history and folklore.
It is inspired by the legend of the Baobhan Sith, a vampiric figure from Scottish folklore who would captivate her victims with her beauty before revealing her darker, supernatural nature. Similarly, Stirling Spiced Rum offers bold, warming flavours and a fiery finish.
The bottle design features a depiction of the Baobhan Sith by Scottish artist Ritchie Collins.
June McCann, co-founder of Stirling Distillery, commented: “Stirling has always been the gateway to the Highlands, a place steeped in history and legend. With Stirling Spiced Rum, we wanted to capture the spirit of those tales while expanding our award-winning range. This rum, like our craft gins and whisky, connects our customers to Stirling’s folklore and delivers a premium spirit with bold, warming flavours. It’s an exciting step forward for us.”
Stirling Spiced Rum (ABV 40%) is available now from the distillery and online.
