Aberdeenshire-based Duncan Farms has won a new listing that will see its traceable and sustainable free-range Duncan’s Eggs sold in 23 Co-op stores across Scotland.

The stores include several new regions for Duncan Farms, including the Isle of Arran and Britain’s most northerly Co-op – in Lerwick, Shetland.

The Co-op deal is one part of Duncan Farms’ ambitious growth plans to ensure it can meet increasing demand for its eggs.

The news comes three weeks after the family-run business added Sainsbury’s to its list of stockists. Duncan’s Eggs are also available in Morrisons. All eggs are fully traceable using the online egg tracker on the Duncan Farms website.

Rachael Duncan, vice-chairman of Duncan Farms, commented: “It has been such an exciting time for the business as we have onboarded a couple new retailers in quick succession. We are significantly increasing our production capabilities across our farms to align with the increased demand and forecast a strong growth trajectory over the next few years.”
