Glen Moray single malt Scotch whisky has been unveiled as the new Official Whisky of the Senior Open.
The three-year, six-figure partnership tees off this summer when the championship – Europe’s only senior major – returns to Scotland for four days of action at Carnoustie.
Taking place from 25 to 28 July, an expected crowd of 35,000 spectators will see some of golf’s greatest legends in action and have the chance to visit Glen Moray’s whisky bar in the Championship Village.
Glen Moray has also been confirmed as the official whisky of the Tartan Pro Tour, a Scotland-based development tour founded by 1999 Open Champion, Paul Lawrie.
Produced in Elgin since 1897, Glen Moray will support its new golf partnerships with a marketing campaign that explores the Scottish roots shared by whisky and golf, and the joys of a ‘Classic Round’ – of both golf and of whisky. This will roll out across advertising, digital and PR channels as well as a range of trade activations.
