To mark Mental Health Awareness month, Stirling Distillery is donating all profits from its Gin Blue Line to mental health charity PTSD999 during May.
PTSD999 provides vital support for those serving, or who have served, within the emergency services living with post-traumatic stress.
Gin Blue Line was created when distillery owner Cameron McCann – a former Metropolitan Police officer– was asked to create a product that would help raise awareness and funds for those within the emergency services suffering from PTSD. With 20% of profits from its sale going to mental health charities, the gin has raised over £5,000 since launching in November 2021.
The distillery partnered with PTSD999 in 2022 to part-fund the charity’s PTSD awareness short film Broken Glass: A Fragile Mind and has continued to support it with the money raised by Gin Blue Line.
Made with selected botanicals including forget-me-nots, Scottish heather, sage and kaffir lime leaves, Gin Blue Line should be served with a premium tonic and garnished with lemon or lime to accentuate the spicy, floral and sweet notes.
PTSD999 has been operating as a non-for-profit social enterprise since its formation and is run on a 100% volunteer basis. It is committed to raising awareness of PTSD within the emergency services and helping break the stigma associated with it.
